The Story
How it started
Shakl was founded to bring a thoughtful, strategic approach to digital design across Africa, the MENA region, and beyond.
We combine UX thinking, visual design, and competitive insight to create experiences that are elegant, intentional, and impact-driven.
The name "Shakl" (شكل) means "form" or "shape" in Arabic—a reflection of our mission to give shape to ideas and form to digital experiences.

Ahmed Maknessi
Founder & Lead Designer
Ahmed is a multidisciplinary product designer with 5+ years of experience in UX/UI, product strategy, Web3, and AI SaaS.
He leads Shakl with a focus on quality, research, and long-term value creation.
Before founding Shakl, Ahmed worked with startups and established companies across three continents.
